Staff Development and In-Servicing
As a former administrator and one that prides themselves on building a solid clinical team, I understand that staff development and in-servicing are two of the most important aspects of building a team that is able to serve the demanding clientele you treat. Educating and training-up current staff is a difficult task that requires time and the ability to effectively communicate. I often give in-services to employees and use humor and personal story telling to demonstrate skills and techniques to help better educate staff. At times certain employees have to be let go and new team members must be brought in. I use very successful methods of determining who might be a good potential job candidate and positive fit for the position. I then follow through with solidifying the new role which in turn helps employee retention.
